The Man I can only imagine that many who visit this site will wonder what kind of person decides one day to visit all of Wisconsin's historical markers. For that reason, I've included this page. Writing a biogrophy for myself is not really on my list of priorities for finishing this site, so for now I'll just include the basics: I'm Carl Markestad. I was born in 1984, and I've lived in Wisconsin all my life, save the one semester I spent in Houghton, MI. I grew up in East Troy, but I currently live in Madison, where I'm just about done with a degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Wisconsin.
